In a world where the line between nature and the built environment is increasingly blurred, Wood Harmony stands as a testament to design that speaks the language of tranquility and simplicity. Xiaojun Hu's vision for a four-story villa is not just a residence but a sanctuary that embodies the essence of nature through material, color, and light. The design's strength lies in its holistic approach, seamlessly integrating the villa with its surroundings and crafting an immersive experience for its inhabitants.
The villa's architecture is a canvas where light-hued wood plays the protagonist, presenting a narrative of layered visual textures. The design's unique properties are evident in the stone bar and entrance columns, which exude a cave-like solidity, while the curvature of the spiral staircase adds a fluid dimension to the space. These elements work in concert to cultivate a serene ambiance that transcends the typical residential experience.
Spanning an impressive 1100 square meters, the villa's ground floor ingeniously leverages the sloped design of the outdoor garden, minimizing visual disparities and maximizing the interplay of light and space. The terrace on the first floor offers a vantage point to appreciate the garden's connection to the basement, an architectural sleight of hand that elevates the sense of space.
Within the villa, the bedrooms are sanctuaries of deep wooden hues, echoing the natural landscape beyond the windows. The interplay of light and shadow creates a dynamic yet peaceful atmosphere, while the bathrooms' rough stone textures evoke the ruggedness of mountain terrain, further reinforcing the home's connection with nature.
Despite the challenges of cost control in such an ambitious project, Xiaojun Hu's meticulous planning and integration of the supply chain ensured that Wood Harmony was realized without compromising on quality or design integrity. The result is a multi-level immersive home that caters to the needs of residents across generations, providing not just a space to live but a space to feel, breathe, and connect with nature.
Wood Harmony's design excellence has not gone unnoticed, as it was awarded the prestigious Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2024. This accolade is a nod to Xiaojun Hu's expertise and innovation in creating a space that not only meets the functional needs of its residents but also enriches their lives with the luxury of sensory immersion in nature.
